The Shadow Mountain Quilters and The Pahrump Arts Council sponsor the annual Quilt and Fiber Arts Show that draws entries from all over the Western United States.
The three day event offers a chance to see gorgeous quilts of all sizes, as well as needlework, wearable art and other fiber arts. The show also offers demonstrations, a bed turning, door prizes, vendors, a silent auction, quilt appraiser, theme challenge, featured quilter, food counter and a pick-a-prize raffle. And each year an Opportunity Quilt with a custom quilt display rack is raffled off to one lucky winner on the last day.
The 2014 theme is Walk on the Wild Side. Enjoy the ever popular tradition of an old-fashioned bed turning, where old or unique quilts are displayed and their stories are told to the audience daily, allowing each quilt to tell its own story of who made it and the life it has lived.
